Rain catcher
The rain catchers are very effective (we installed two of them) . I liked that they were brown and rectangular which made them more inconspicous against the house. Since they hold only 50 gallons, they fill up very quickly. I wish that they would have had some directions about putting in an overflow drain. There was no mention of it at all and you definitely want to have one. Suggesting the type of connector would have been helpful.

very disappointed
I could not believe the cheap manufacturing of this product! The hose is constantly coming off the bottom! I have to do some modifications to even use this product successfully. I went and purchased a larger rain barrell at Whole Foods with metal spickets that will not come off, at a way cheaper price. I do not recommend this product.

Great product
This is a great product. I like the fact that the hose is at the bottom. I sometimes connect my pressure washer to it or just attach another hose in order to water my garden.

Fine but poor customer service
The rain catcher works fine but when it showed up it was missing a part, the holder for the hose to attach it to the topside of raincatcher. Repeated emails to the vendor have been ignored as have phone calls. This is not a bad product and I would consider buying another one. But the hose clip that was promised would be nice to have.

good, but....
I bought one of these in the spring and then bought another because it fills up so fast. It works very well...fills up with one good thunderstorm, but I had a problem with the screened top cover. I don't know if it was just the force of the rain or if a small animal stepped on the screening, but it ripped away from the edges. I emailed the Achla company and was told that I had to contact whoever I bought it from, as they were no longer making this rain barrel. Not believing that a company would not stand by their product, I called and got the same answer. In other words, if it breaks be prepared to fix it yourself somehow (which is what I did), or mail it back to Amazon. You can't just leave the screen off because a small animal (like a cat) could then possible fall into your barrel and drown, not to mention the fact that you will breed mosquitoes in it. The second barrel I bought, the 54 gal green one from Achla, has a better configuration in that its top cover is reinforced with hard plastic spokes, so that even if the sceening did rip, it is doubtful that anything could fall into the barrel.
