Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not bad for a space heater
We bought two Delonghi TRD715T heaters to use as supplemental heating to our oil. We put one in our 2 year old son's room and one in the living room. The three power settings are great for finding a good performance level without using the full 1500w most other heaters use, saving a lot on electricity. If I turn on the heater about 30 minutes before my son goes to sleep, it keeps his room at a nice temperature for cold nights. As others have said, it takes a little while to get up to operating temperature, but that's only because it needs to heat the oil instead of having a heating element that heats up almost instantly.

The only thing from keeping me giving the heaters a 5 star rating is the lack of digital controls. The "96 timing options" are just a set of 96 little dip switches on the front of the unit. You turn the entire dial so the arrow points to the approximate time, then you set the dip switches up or down depending on whether you want the unit to turn on or turn off. It's very very tedious, and difficult to set correctly.

The other problem is there is no temperature control except for a slider below the power dial. Slide it to the left and it sets a lower temperature. Slide it to right and it's higher. It took a few days to find the right setting for that slider so that my son's room was neither too hot nor too cold.

For such a nice looking and working unit, not having digital controls and a temperature setting cheapens it quite a bit. If it had these controls, it would have been a solid 5 star rating, and I probably would have bought another one for our kitchen area, which gets cold during the winter.

For those who don't mind fiddling with 96 dip switches and a slider for temperature, this is a good unit at a fair price.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wonderful
Yes, it smells funny when you first start using it, however after the initial break in period, it has worked wonderfully ever since. The timer on it is a wonderful feature, as when I get home the room is all warmed up for me already. I am very happy with this product.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Quiet , Efficient and Does a great job

Outstanding product. Other products I had were noisy and not as efficient. Great heat distribution

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works as Advertised
So far, this has been a good space heater, easy to control, and puts out a fair amount of heat.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Delonghi TRD0715T Oil-Filled Radiator
I purchased this heater from the local Lowes after reading all the reviews on this particular product, and reviews on other heaters.

Pros: Quiet (only pings once in a while heating up or cooling down); radiates lots of heat after initial warm up; does not burn fingers at low heat setting; Safe to leave on 24 seven.

Cons: Cord needs to be more heavy duty and needs to be longer - since the heater cannot be placed next to a wall, and the fact that some apartments or houses do not have convenient outlets; it would be a lot better if it had a digital thermostat instead of just an adjustable thermostat; timer is a little daunting in figuring out.

So far, I am pleased with this product. I am planning to use two of these heaters for my 600 sq. foot apartment this winter instead of fuel oil. It already has been down in the low 30's two nights in a row here in the foothills, and it was just a wee bit chilly using one of the heaters, but not overly so. I bought a second heater today. I am still tinkering with the adjustable thermostat.

I grew up with a wood heater and this heater beats that scenario by a mile.

LONDON (Reuters) - President-elect Barack Obama said on Saturday he was crafting a two-year plan to fight an economic crisis of "historic proportions" and Chinese leader Hu Jintao said his country was ready to play a big role in the global effort.

The W3C Web API Working Group has published the proposed recommendation of Element Traversal Specification. "This specification defines the ElementTraversal interface, which allows script navigation of the elements of a DOM tree, excluding all other nodes in the DOM, such as text nodes. It also provides an attribute to expose the number of child elements of an element. It is intended to provide a more convenient alternative to existing DOM navigation interfaces, with a low implementation footprint." More...

If you're in the market for a PlayStation 3, you aren't going to get a better deal than this: $199 for an 80GB PS3, bundled with a game such as LittleBigPlanet, The Force Unleashed or Far Cry 2. Also, a Blu-ray bundle, such as Firefly: The Complete Series, the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy or a James Bond Six-Pack. And hell, a PS3 remote tossed in for good measure. All for $199. But there's a catch, because there's always a catch.

These deals are a part of Amazon's yearly "Customer's Vote" promotion, in which you get to vote on which PS3 bundle you'd want to buy and then, if you're lucky, get a chance to race against everybody else for a limited quantity of said bundles. Here are how they're broken down:

PS3 Blu-ray Sci-Fi Bundle - $199.00 PlayStation 3 80GB, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Firefly: The Complete Series, PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc remote

PS3 Blu-ray Action Bundle - $229.00 PlayStation 3 80GB, Far Cry 2, James Bond Collection 6-Pack, PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc remote

PS3 Blu-ray Family Bundle - $199.00 PlayStation 3 80GB, LittleBigPlanet, Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy, PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc remote

You've got to vote on which bundle looks the best to you, but don't play it to chance: the family bundle is currently holding a solid lead. 500 of each bundle will be available on Friday, so once you vote make sure to check your email on Thursday night to see if you're in the running for them. The winning bundle will go on sale for the listed price, with the other two going up for a bit more, but still cheap. Good luck, y'all. [Amazon]
